Physics be Dammed

Falling stars are fleeing,
wishing on themselves
to no longer be
part of the dark unknown;
adoring gravity
and the real estate
of a planetary hearth;
sailing light years
through magnetic radiation,
guided by the steady hand
of perfect mad confidence,
impenetrable physics
and a longing
known by
every shred of matter
that ever left home.
